Pup.io Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Yodco Media LLC ("Yodcomedia", "we", "us") handles information in connection with Pup.io, including the Android app with package name com.yodco.pup.io, its iOS version, and support for the game. It does not replace the separate privacy notices of Google Play, the Apple App Store, or websites you choose to visit.

This policy is a notice, not a request for blanket consent. Reading this page or installing the game does not, by itself, give permission for every use of personal information.

1. Information used by the game

  • Game profile and progress. The game generates identifiers for a player profile and saves progress, settings, resources, upgrades, buildings, collected animals, skins, rewards, and purchase entitlements. Much of this information is stored on the device. A generated identifier can distinguish a player without a real name, but is not necessarily anonymous.
  • Leaderboard. When the game synchronizes leaderboard progress, it sends a player identifier, display name, selected avatar and background identifiers, score, and contribution counters to our leaderboard service. Your display name, selected appearance, score, and ranking may be visible to other players. Please avoid putting your real name, contact information, or other private information in your display name.
  • Gameplay and interaction data. We record events such as sessions, level attempts and results, progression, tutorial steps, resources earned or spent, upgrades, building activity, skins viewed or selected, offers, purchases, and advertisement interactions. These events help us understand difficulty, engagement, reliability, and the game's economy.
  • Device, network, and diagnostic data. Our app and service providers may process IP addresses, installation or device identifiers, advertising identifiers when available, device and operating-system details, app version, language, approximate country or region, timestamps, and crash or error information. An approximate location may be inferred from an IP address; this is different from collecting precise GPS location.
  • Purchases and advertising revenue. Purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple. The game receives product identifiers, transaction identifiers, receipts or purchase tokens, purchase status, quantities, and price/currency information. Purchase and advertisement revenue events are used to reconcile rewards, restore supported purchases, prevent duplicate delivery, and measure business performance. We do not receive your full payment-card number from the store. Purchase receipts and related information may also be sent to our attribution provider.
  • Support communications. If you contact us, we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you choose to send. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information.

2. Why we use information

We use information to run and maintain Pup.io; keep progress and settings; provide the leaderboard; deliver and restore supported purchases; handle support and privacy requests; diagnose crashes; detect abuse and duplicate transactions; evaluate game features and balance; serve and measure advertisements; understand how players discover the game; and measure purchase and advertising revenue.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, the relevant basis depends on the purpose: performance of our agreement with you for requested game features and purchases; legitimate interests in security, reliability, fraud prevention, support, and appropriate service measurement; compliance with legal obligations; and consent for processing that requires it, including applicable advertising, tracking, or device-access activities. A legitimate interest does not replace consent where consent is required. You may contact us to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

3. Advertising, measurement, and choices

Pup.io includes advertising and optional rewarded advertisements. Advertising partners can process identifiers, device and network information, ad impressions and interactions, and related measurement data to deliver advertisements, measure performance, limit repetition, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalize advertisements. Advertising partners may link information across apps or services under their own notices and applicable choices.

Advertising consent, Apple's tracking permission, and notification permission concern different activities. A notification choice is not advertising consent. Where a consent form is presented, use its available choices to allow or decline the purposes and partners shown. Device privacy controls may also let you restrict tracking or reset/delete an advertising identifier. Available controls depend on your device, operating system, region, and app version.

You can contact info@yodco.org to request withdrawal of consent or object to applicable processing. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not invalidate processing already carried out on a valid basis. Restricting personalized advertising does not necessarily remove all advertisements: advertisements may still be contextual, and operational or fraud-prevention data may still be needed. Buying an advertising-removal product is separate from exercising privacy choices.

4. Notifications and local storage

The game can schedule local reminders about available rewards, health, or island income. Reminder settings and recent local session times help choose a relevant time. These reminders are scheduled on the device; they are not a mailing list or a request for your phone number. Where system permission is required, it is requested after you choose to enable reminders. You can disable the reminder categories in the game or turn off notifications in your device settings.

Local files and preferences also store game progress, identifiers, settings, pending transaction records, and reward state. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove local progress and settings. It does not automatically erase information already held by our servers or service providers, and platform backup behavior may vary.

5. Service providers and other recipients

The current integrations include the following. Whether a particular provider receives information can depend on the platform, feature used, region, advertising configuration, and applicable choices. A listed integration does not mean every provider receives every category of data.

  • Google / Firebase: Cloud Firestore for leaderboard records, Google Analytics for Firebase for usage and revenue measurement, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics. Firebase privacy information and Google Privacy Policy.
  • Amplitude: product analytics, player interactions, progression, and revenue measurement. Amplitude processes customer end-user data on our behalf; privacy requests about Pup.io should be directed to us. Amplitude privacy and security information.
  • Tenjin: installation attribution, campaign measurement, events, and purchase/advertising revenue measurement, including purchase receipt information where used. Tenjin Privacy Policy.
  • AppLovin MAX: advertising mediation and advertisement measurement. The app includes integrations for AppLovin, Unity Ads, ironSource, and Liftoff Monetize (Vungle); availability depends on advertising configuration. Ad measurement providers may also receive information needed to measure advertisements and detect invalid traffic.   • Meta / Facebook: app activity and advertising measurement through the Facebook SDK. This integration does not require you to log in to Facebook to play Pup.io. Meta Privacy Policy.
  • Unity services and Unity In-App Purchasing: game-service initialization and integration with the platform's purchasing system. Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play and Apple: app distribution, billing, purchase history, and platform controls under their own notices. Google Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.

We may also share information with hosting, technical, or professional service providers where necessary for the purposes above, or when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and security. If the game or business is transferred, relevant information may be transferred subject to applicable law and notice obligations.

Some advertising disclosures may be classified as a "sale", "sharing", or processing for targeted advertising under certain US state laws even when money is not exchanged for a specific record. Where these rights apply, you may request an opt-out by contacting us and use the applicable advertising or device controls. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16 for these purposes without the authorization required by applicable law.

6. Storage, international processing, and security

Information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and other places where our providers operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use the applicable transfer arrangements, such as contractual safeguards, through our agreements with providers. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.

We keep information for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account whether it is needed to maintain progress, entitlements and leaderboard records, investigate problems, answer requests, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Provider retention and deletion processes also apply. Some records may need to be retained after a deletion request where permitted or required by law; backup deletion can take additional time. We do not promise that uninstalling the app removes server-side data.

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information and services involved. No internet service or storage method can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and deletion requests

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of information, correct it, delete it, restrict processing, object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, or opt out of applicable targeted advertising, sale, or sharing. You may also have a right to appeal a decision about your request. Exercising privacy rights will not be treated as a purchase requirement.

Send requests to info@yodco.org with "Pup.io privacy request" in the subject. Tell us whether you want access, correction, deletion, or another action. Include your platform and player display name, and a player identifier if available. A display name alone may not uniquely identify an account. We may ask for proportionate additional information to locate records and verify the request; please do not send passwords or full payment-card information.

We handle requests within the applicable legal time limits and explain any permitted limitation or additional time needed. Deleting a leaderboard record or our game data does not delete a purchase from your Google or Apple account. Where applicable, we coordinate with providers that process information on our behalf. For processing a provider carries out independently, its own request procedure may also be relevant.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you may complain to your local data-protection supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). You can contact us first, but you do not have to do so before approaching an authority.

8. Age and children

Pup.io is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. A store content rating describes game content and is separate from this intended audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through Pup.io, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

Some countries require a higher age for a young person to give valid consent to particular processing. Where applicable, the required consent must come from a parent or guardian. Our 13+ audience statement does not override those requirements.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the game, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its update date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent for a change; an update to this notice does not itself create consent.
